Some friends of ours got a last minute camp ground at San Clemente State Park. Lucky for us they invited us along for the night. The boys were SUPER excited. I figured since it was one night we would just take Max's pop-up tent and a giant air mattress and all sleep together. I was a little nervous about how Jude would do since he is used to sleeping by himself in a crib/pack n' play, and frankly, so was I.
So the goal was to tire him out. Easy, bring in the balance bike and giant camp ground.
Max did his favorite activity: roasting hot dogs and s'mores.
I laid down with the boys in the tent and thankfully the were sufficiently tired out and went right to sleep. I however, did not sleep since Jude was flopping all over the place and Max kept rolling off the air mattress. Oh well, I can do anything for one night.
We went down the road to Surfin' Donuts for breakfast and I had a breakfast burrito from Pedros.
They boys were easily entertained by this giant climbing tree.
We got back to camp and packed up. It was fun to be out in nature for the night and hang out with some fun friends. I was glad to come home, shower, and take a long nap.
