U.S. Open

We've been hanging around Hungington Beach a lot this summer. We were in the area again the first weekend of the U.S. Open. It's a big surfing competition that happens in Huntington every year. I thought my tank top was perfect for the event.
The first weekend was SUPER windy and the waves weren't very good. We checked out a lot of the tents that were set up on the sand. They even have huged skateboard ramps set up with bleachers for skateboard competitions.
We didn't stay very long, but it was a pretty cool thing to see.

Our First Beach Trip of the Summer

Mom finally got up the courage to pack up our gear and head to the beach for the first time this summer. It helped that dad came along to haul the gear down to the sand, but it was a pretty successful trip! We went to Huntington Beach since we were in the area checking out houses.
A beach trip isn't a beach trip without a pit! Dad has gotten quite proficient at digging them. He even adds in stairs so I can get in and out!

It was a successful trip and Mom has decided that we can go many more times this summer:)

Fourth of July

For the Fourth of July this year we decided to get tickets to the University of Redlands Stadium firework show. Everyone that lives in Redlands praise the show as one of the best they've ever been to. After living here for 6 years we thought we better check it out.

Our friends, the Vines and Mckees, were generous enough to go early and save a huge patch of grass right in the front. They let us creech in with our big group.

Dad
Me, with Catie and Enna

Uncle Greg and Cozi

Aunt Becky and Lucie

Bria

Aunt Shalaine, Uncle Cort, Axel, and Marie (baby Collette was still in Aunt Shalaine's tummy)
Paga was there too, Mom didn't get a picture of him...or herself.

The show was amazing! Half the city was there. They had a couple bands before hand and then started the show when it was dark. All the fireworks were perfectly timed to the patriotic music.

Even Big Baby thought the show was pretty awesome!

I loved getting to lie on the grass with my glow necklace and watch the show.

Now I can say, if you're ever in Redlands for the Fourth of July, go check out the stadium show. It's AWESOME!

Big Baby's Blessing

Since we had everyone in town while the Hawaii cousins were here, we decided to bless Big Baby Jude. He cried through his entire blessing, so I'm not totally sure what Dad said. We had 40 people at his blessing! Even better, they came to our house afterward to eat and play. I know the party was for Jude, but I had an awesome time.

Jude wore the same white tuxedo I did for my blessing. You can't let a sweet white tuxedo like that go to waste!

Here I am rocking the ice cream man suit.

Here is the huge group. It's amazing we got everyone together for a picture at once!

Mom says making food for 40 people is hard, but she had lots of help. Uncle Greg looks pretty sweet in Mom's apron! I think he should go into modeling.

Aunt Lou Ann was on salad duty.

And the other Aunties helped with the rest of the various and sundry food items....although I think there were snacking on chips in this shot:) It was a great day and I'm so glad everyone could be there to celebrate Jude's awesome day.

Hawaii Cousins Do Disney

In June my Hawaii cousins came to visit. Whenever they come we get to stay in a Disney hotel and do lots of days at Disneyland! This time we stayed at Paradise Pier and spent 4 days at Disney.

This is just some of the crew on Storybook land.

The first night everyone was there. It was so fun to have all the cousins, aunts, and uncles together.
This was Jude's second trip to Disney. You're never too young to start! My cousin Cozi was a great baby holder.
We managed to squeeze 6 people in this tea cup. It was a little crazy, especially with Dad spinning it. That's Lindsay on the right, she's now married to my Paga:)

The last day of the trip it was BLAZING hot! It was enough to dampen even the most die hard Disney fan. Jude had enough by then and Dad took him home early. I think Mom and I were officially the last people to leave that last day.

I certainly can't wait for the Hawaii cousins to come back next year so we can do it all again!

School Physical

To attend Summer Camp this year I had to have a physical at the doctor. I thought it was pretty cool that I got to wear a little gown just my size! I was also stoked that I finally was able to lay up on the table (instead of Mom and Baby always getting up there). It was pretty easy up until the needles. I had to get a couple shots AND get my blood drawn! Pretty hard core for a Summer Camp. I hardly made a peep though and the nurses were super impressed with me. I was even more brave getting my blood drawn than an adult sitting next to me.

I passed my physical with flying colors! Thank heavens because I'm not ready to do it again any time soon.

Swimming Lessons

This summer I have been perfecting my swimming skills! I have lessons with Romi, Devyn, and Rocco. Miss Megan is our teacher and we have a pretty good time!
Romi's Oma lets us use her pool. It had this awesome big step we wait on until it's our turn. Sometimes we get cold waiting and lay on the warm cement.
Miss Megan has been teaching me the front stroke and the back stroke. I also finally figured out how to come up for a breath while I'm swimming. We have lots of fun and we get to jump off the side when our lesson is over. I'm hoping she'll let me jump off the diving board by the end!

3 Month Photo Shoot

Big Baby Jude here. Just thought everyone would like a peak at my 3 month photo shoot. My Uncle Cort took these pictures of me and did a pretty awesome job! Here are some of my favorites.
Feetsies
Eyes that can look right through you!
My silly side
Blue Steele
A bit of a deer in headlights
My big brother got in on the action. We make a pretty cute pair!
What do you think? Do I have a future career in modeling?
