I Love to See the Temple

Since we were in Utah on a Sunday we decided a good activity would be going to Temple Square in Salt Lake City. The Salt Lake Temple is SOOOOO much bigger than the one we have in Redlands. Of course I wanted to go inside, but Mom and Dad told me I wasn't quite old enough yet.

We went into the 2 visitors centers instead. They had so much cool stuff to look at. One room had video clips of the Prophet, Thomas S. Monson, talking. And of course this big picture....I had to have my picture taken with the Prophet! They also had a model of the temple cut open so you could see the various rooms. A touch screen computer told you what happens in all the rooms. I had a lot of fun playing with that.

It was FREEZING outside, but the steamy fountain was calling my name! I thought Mom and I should get our picture next to it.

In the second visitors center they had lots of paintings showing different parts of Jesus Christ's life. They also have this giant statue of Jesus. This isn't a very great picture with the sun coming in, but you can see how big it is! They also had lots of paintings of the Prophets in the Bible.
After going to Temple Square I got to visit some of my cousins that live in Salt Lake. I don't get to see them very often so it was fun to play with them. Mom was delinquent and didn't get any pictures of me with my cousins...so you'll just have to imagine them:)

Utah Trip

At the beginning of January we took a little trip to Utah to visit the snow. Mom's Uncle Boyd has an awesome cabin in Park City that he let us use. I thought it would be more fun if Romi and RT and their parents came along with us. So off we went to the great white tundra!

It was a long drive but we finally made it. I could not believe how much snow was there! I've never seen that much snow in my life. It was even snowing when we got there. When we got up the next morning I couldn't wait to go outside and play. There was a little hill in the back of the house, so we decided to try sledding. We geared up in our warm clothes...since it was about 5 degrees, and headed out.

Dad and Robert tried making a sled run for us. It was hard because the snow was so soft and powdery that it wouldn't pack down. When I tried to walk up the hill the snow came up to my waist! Robert got a good little practice run for us to go down. I also couldn't stop throwing snowballs at my mom!

I'm ready! Lets get this snow party started. I was not the least bit bothered by the snow melting down the back of my pants.

Here is Steffani (Romi's Mom) and RT. RT liked the snow as long as his hands were warm...and he wasn't laying face down in it:) It was hard to walk in that stuff!

Romi, on the other hand, was not a snow fan. This is the only picture Mom could snap of her...as she was stripping off her snow clothes! She is definitely a beach girl!

Nice pants Robert! Where can I get a pair?

Sledding was definitely a great beginning to my Winter Wonderland trip!

Snow Boots

Mom got me my own pair of snow boots to get ready for our big trip to Utah. I can't get enough of them! I don't know if it's because they are easy to put on or because they are so warm and fuzzy, but I want to wear them all the time!
There have been many nights that Mom has come in to check on me and found me sleeping in these comfy footwear! I don't know how I can go back to regular shoes ever again.

...And a Happy New Year!

Surprise, surprise! We decided to ring in the New Year at one of my favorite places on earth....DISNEYLAND!

I had a really good nap and we headed to the park around 5 o'clock.

We stopped at Tortilla Joe's in Downtown Disney for some dinner. Everyone had their New Year 2011 hats on and it really wasn't too crowded.

We finished dinner and made it into the park just in time for the fireworks and snow. The park was packed! But I didn't care, up on Dad's shoulders I could see everything!

There was music and dance parties all over the park. We even got on a few rides.

Mom and Dad said I wasn't old enough to stay until midnight, but I got pretty close! We left the park around 11. Mom and Dad told me there were fireworks on the way home, but I couldn't keep my eyes open. I'm looking forward to an awesome, Disney filled 2011!:)
