San Diego County Fair

The San Diego Fair was at Del Mar while we were in Carlsbad. I love a good fair, so we decided to spend a beautiful Saturday there. We tried lots of crazy food that is sure to make you have a heart attack...or at least pretty fat.

Dad and I tried the chocolate bacon and Paga gave the deep fried butter a whirl.

As you can see I thoroughly enjoyed the bacon. It's my 2 favorite things, how could it be wrong?

The best part of the fair were all the rides. Mom and Dad got me 72 tickets! I was on rides for about 2 hours straight. This slide was one of my favorites and I rode it about 4 times. The San Diego fair is cool because they have a whole section of the fair that is just the kid rides.

Bumper cars? Yes please!
We also saw lots of animals. I pet a few goats and saw lots of cows pooping.
There was an awesome dog agility competition going on as well. It was cool to see dogs competing to see how far they could jump into a pool of water and Jack Russell's racing over hurtles.

This is pretty much all Big Baby did. I think he enjoyed the fair too:)

Taking Big Baby to Carlsbad

I thought it was about time to show Big Baby one of my favorite places to go, Carlsbad! or San Diego Hotel, as I like to call it. We were lucky enough that Paga invited us to go with him in June.

One of my favorite activities there is hanging by the pool. Big Baby doesn't have pool gear yet, but I think he is getting the hanging part down just fine!

Paga and I were out of the pool long enough to snap a picture with Jude, then into the water we went. Since Mom had to be out with Baby, Paga did a lot of swimming with me this trip.

The funniest part about that is Paga can't swim:) But he could touch and he helped me practice my swimming skills.

I haven't lost my float!
I'm pretty good at holding my breath too. Mom shot this video of my longest swim yet. It won't be long before Big Baby is right in here next to me.

Big Baby and Me...Under the Sea

As Big Baby gets older, he likes to play with different toys. Mom tells me a lot of these toys were mine when I was a baby. I especially like this play mat with all sorts of fish on it. There is even a music box with floating fish in it on the side.

I thought Big Baby might need some help playing on it, so I gladly laid next to him to show him how. I think its just the beginning of me teaching him how to do stuff:)

Don't Forget about Me!

Hi, Big Baby Jude here.

I just didn't want anyone to forget about me!

This outfit doesn't fit anymore, but I wanted to put up a picture with my Dad.

It's shocking how cute I am:)

And who can resist a sleeping baby?

End of the Year

This year was my first year of preschool. Mom decided to get together with a bunch of other Moms and do preschool in their homes.

I loved going to different people's houses and making new friends. I also learned a ton too:)

We had an end of the year water party at Paige's house and got our diplomas.

I'm going to miss all of my friends next year when I go to "stick bug school" (Barton House Playschool), but I'm excited to do something new!

Fathers and Sons

In the middle of May (yeah, Mom's a little behind with the blogging) Dad and I got to go camping with just the boys! Our church has a Father's and Son's outing every year and I was finally old enough to go. I love camping so I was SUPER stoked to go.

I loved playing with all the other boys there. They helped me play kick ball, put me up on bike handlebars and rode me around, and played tag.

It's a good thing Mom wasn't there because Bob Cannon found this snake in his yard and brought it along. Mom would have FREAKED out!

Especially if she saw me doing this!

Of course this ignited a desire for me to get my own pet snake:)

There was a ton of food and I finally decided to try my first hamburger. I still prefer chicken nuggets, but it wasn't bad! Bob Cannon even cooked up some goat that I tried. Not bad if you avoided some of the fur that was stuck on it.

After dinner they set up this huge screen to watch a movie. I thought it was pretty awesome to be watching a movie outside.

With no Mom around I got to stay up super late! I hung out by the fire until about midnight.

MMmmmmm....s'mores.

Do I look ready for bed?

Our camp was right next to a petting zoo. So the rooster started crowing at about 5 a.m. So much for sleeping in!

I loved petting the goats...although it was a little strange after eating one the night before.

It was an awesome night and I can't wait to do it again next year.

Disney Firsts

For Mom's Birthday we FINALLY got back to Disneyland! One of my favorite places on earth...if you didn't already know that. This time I got my first Disneyland pass. It was also Big Baby Jude's first trip to my happy kingdom.

Aunt Lou Ann, Jamie, Corrie, Curran, Luke, Aunt Shalaine, Axel, and Marie all met us there to celebrate.

Big Baby couldn't go on Autopia so Dad stayed off the ride with him. He's got a lot of growing to do!
He did get a special 1st Visit pin, I think he likes it.
I am FINALLY tall enough to ride all the mountains! I have been measuring myself for about a year now to see if I am at the 40 inch mark....and this visit I finally made it. I was more than excited to finally go on these roller coasters. My first one was Thunder Mountain. I totally loved it.
Next was Space Mountain. Mom was a little worried the totally dark ride would freak me out.
Do I look freaked out to you? It was AWESOME!

Splash Mountain was closed, but I've been on it since then. I can't get enough of the roller coasters. Now if Big Baby could hurry up and grow we could go on together.
