Big Baby Slimes Psycho Turns 2!

I can't believe my Big April Fools Baby is turning 2! As cliche as it sounds, it really seems like just yesterday that I was in the hospital watching The Price is Right waiting to have him. Its been a wild ride ever since!!
Like every good birthday, we started this one off with a donut. Nothing says birthday like having cake for breakfast.
There is an awesome old train by Eric's parents house that makes trips into the redwoods. Since Jude loves trains I thought it would be the perfect way to celebrate.

We were so happy to have Eric's parents come along. We were also so happy the it stopped raining long enough for us to take a 2 hour train ride into the woods.
They have a cute old town set up where the train station is and we had fun looking around while we waited for the steam train to fill up with water.
See how this would have been miserable in the rain? Jude was in awe of the huge train and couldn't wait to get on.

Off we go into the redwoods.

The Birthday Boy and Me.

Well, at least one of them is smiling.

As we rode the train up the mountain the conductor gave us lots of information about the old train and how they built the tracks. I won't bore you with the details, but it was pretty interesting. The scenery was beautiful too, especially the smell of the forest right after the rain.
We stopped at the top of the mountain for a few pictures.

Eva, Mac, and the boys.

Max thought it was hilarious to stick his tongue out and spit every time he saw the camera go off. Needless to say Jude picked it right up. The joy of having boys!

Tongue in mouth...a miracle...and cute picture with the train.

Two hours was the perfect amount of time for a train ride. The boys were done by then and we had our fill of steam train facts.
Our friend Reanna made this adorable cake for Jude. Much better than the Costco cake this non-baker would have gotten.

Between the cake, cars, and candles Jude was in HEAVEN!!

We probably lit those candles 10 times for him to blow out. He kept saying "Again, Again!"

He was one happy birthday boy!
Jude's big present was a new helmet and balance bike. I couldn't get him to hold still for a picture...or get off it to go to bed! Score one perfect present point for mom.
Happy 2nd birthday my little psychopath.
