One hot September day, Mom decided to take Jude and I up to Forest Falls. It is nice and cool up there....and free:)
Its a short hike to the falls and since it was a week day we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We had to rock hop across this river, but it wasn't very high or fast.
Most of the hike is nice and
shady which just adds to the cool weather of the mountains.
Baby slimes took the trip in the front pack.
I decided to take a dip in the waterfall pool. Mom warned me it was cold....but I had no idea how cold! It didn't stop me from wading all the way in though. Walking across all the rocks didn't bother me too much either.
I even tried to slide down a little waterfall but realized there were rocks at the bottom and that it wasn't that slippery. It was a fun day trip and definitely a good way to escape the heat.
