Aspen Grove Family Camp

Every 3 years Paga treats his family to a reunion at Aspen Grove Family Camp in Utah. I was 2 1/2 the last time I went. I was SUPER excited to go this year because I got to spend each day with a group of kids my same age doing TONS of fun activities.

I was also old enough to get my own drinks in the dinning room! My cousins taught me the fine art of mixing the sodas and poweraids to make different concoctions. It was AWESOME!!

Slimes didn't get to mix his own drinks but he was pretty happy to eat there anyway.
Another great part of family camp is getting to hang out with my cousins. Slimes and Coco were in the same "age group" so they did some hanging out together.

Axel and I were also in the same group. I'm glad I had a buddy...especially when we ended up dressed exactly alike! What a crazy coincidence!!

Since the kids were off in their groups, the adults had some time to bond together. This was the hike to Stewart Falls that almost everyone did.
Group picture half way.
Mom, Aunt Lou Ann, and Aunt Becky made it to the falls!

What a great back drop.

Just the ladies.
The best night at camp is Frontier night. The camp has a cowboy town all set up and they bring out tons of extra games and activities to do. Not to mention snow cones!
I was old enough to try my hand at the bull whip. Boy was it hard to pop the balloons! They also had a knife and hatchet toss, but I wasn't old enough to do that.

Slimes LOVED the train that chugs around the grass. I think he took 10 rides on that thing.

Giddy up!

Hop in Kate, Slimes and I will take you around the wild west.

Mystery cowboy, we call him Slimes the mouthless.
I did awesome with the water pump duck race. I'm glad I don't have to pump my water like this at home.
There was an Indian Chief inside the Tee pee telling stories. If you sat through the story you earned a feather.

Can shooting.

Hopefully this is the only time we are behind bars.
Slimes looks awfully guilty!

Roping cattle
Slimes can't resist a slide.
I told you slimes loved the train. Corrie and Cozi were taking him and Lucie for another ride.
Mom, Dad and Aunt Jen wanted to try their hand at the ropes course (why not, the kids are away for the day!)

Mom did pretty good on the log....
....but was a little freaked on the rock wall!
Dad and Aunt Jen scaled up them both with no problem.

Just a quick run around the high wires and then you get to repel back down. Everyone survived:)

Swimming was in the schedule every day. I was so glad because I couldn't get enough of the water slides.
Do you like my sweet skills going backwards?
It was pretty hot at camp so the pool always felt great.
Mom, Aunt Jen, Paga, and Lindsay did one more hike to the upper falls on the Timpanogas trail.
Mom said it was tough but totally worth it!
Our cabin was right next to trampolines, a game room, and a playground. If I wasn't in my group I was off playing at one of these places. I especially loved the game room. It had a pool table, air hockey table, and ping pong. Most of the time I was playing with my cousins....whom ever I could convince to come with me. This is my buddy Kate with me on the trampoline.
For the closing show my class did the Kookaburra song. I was pretty sweet with my actions to the song.

I watched all my other cousins sing with their groups and made sure I sat with everyone except my Mom and Dad. Uncle Greg let me sit in his lap.
I especially liked hanging out with my boy cousins during the week. Buzz, Curran, and Luke were nice enough to let me tag along with them a lot. I'm so glad I got to spend the week at family camp.
