Lets Go Fly a Kite

In the middle of March, Aunt Jill invited us down to Huntington Beach for the annual Kite Festival (our name for it, not the official one). I have always loved flying kites, but Mom and Dad stink at it! So I was pretty excited to see the professionals do it.
There were kites of all sizes and shapes. There were even a group of people that made their kites dance to music!
Slimes was more into eating sand then watching kites. To each his own!
Aunt Jill's family was there too, and it was Uncle Dan's birthday! Hailey and I decided to help him celebrate by making him carry us, at the same time, through the sand. Doesn't that sound like a great present?
After watching the professionals we went down the beach to fly our own kites. We were finally successful in getting a kite in the sky and keeping it up there! It was a great day!
What made it even better was a "For Rent" sign we saw 2 doors down from Aunt Jill. Mom and Dad went into check it out and loved it. Two days later we signed the lease to move to Huntington Beach.
Who knew a simple day of kite flying could change our lives so much?
