Up the 5 freeway, through the Pacheco Pass...

To Grandmother's house I went. Okay, I know that's not how the song goes, but that is where I have been for the past week...San Jose or the 95128. I did a ton of fun stuff while I was there. I hung out with my Grandma and Grandpa at the house. There was a lot of mischief to get into. I found this box and people took turns giving me a ride in it--even Winston thought it looked fun.

Grandma taught me to go up her steep stairs. The tricky part was coming back down!

Grandpa was helping me go up this time.

Peek-a-boo

Right around the corner is the Winchester Mystery House. I had never heard of it, but my mom has been wanting to go for 5 years. So we finally went. The house was built by Sarah Winchester who was told that as long as she never stopped construction on her house, she wouldn't be haunted by all the people killed by the Winchester Riffles. So there are staircases into the ceiling, doors to nowhere, and windows in the floors. It is kind of a spooky place...I'm glad we went during the day.
We went to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk one day. I got to ride lots of rides, but I kept wondering where Mickey was! This is me and Mom on the Ferris Wheel.

Dad took me on the Pepsi Trucks and let me drive!

I liked the Carousel most of all. You grab a metal ring every time you go around and try to throw it in a clowns mouth.

Back at Grandma's I found the towel cupboard. It was just my size!

This is my dad's German hat from when he was little. Don't I look like a happy German Boy with my happy German Pup?!

It was such a fun trip I almost didn't want to come home!

LOVE, LOVE all the pictures!!! Max is soooooo cute. That kid is trouble in the future! I have wanted to go visit that house as well after learning about it in college (or whereever) you'll have to send me pictures--if you were allowed to take any.

I love your haircut Steph, is it new or have I not seen you for awhile and it's grown out a bit? Whatever it is, I'm liking it a lot. You look great.

Thanks Lou, I'm actually growing it just a bit for something different. But I also haven't seen you in a while:) The pic's of the mystery house don't show much of the house, but it's pretty interesting.

Love to see his comings and goings. It is almost like I'm there with him which is what I'd I love to do(boring Nana's here again). I love him going upstairs too with Grandpa - it's that coming down that is the big oooopsadaisy. Good thing they made hard heads for something.
Thanks for sharing.
