A House Full of Monkeys

Aunt Shalaine and Uncle Cort decided to go to San Francisco for the weekend. Which was lucky for me because Axel and Marie came to my house for a weekend of FUN! We all slept in my tent together at night after fun filled activities all day.
The first day we trekked down to the beach. It was a little chilly, but we put on our sweatshirts and were fine.
The crystal blue sky is deceiving....it was cold!
Mom made us stay far away from the water for a long time. Eventually she gave in and let us go closer to "get our feet wet". We were running away from the waves and having fun. Mom snapped this sweet picture....then looked up to see Marie got too close to the water and was laying on the sand with freezing water washing over her.
She was soaked! And freezing. So that pretty much ended our beach trip for the day.
Nothing finishes off a beach day like a tub full of monkeys!
We woke up the next morning to pouring rain. Luckily Aunt Shalaine left each of us bags of treats for a rainy day. Marie's pet hospital was probably the biggest hit. Axel and I thought our "build your own dinosaurs" were pretty awesome too.
We eventually had to get out of the house. And boy am I glad because we went to Chuck E Cheese! It was pretty crowded because of the rain but we didn't care. This was a rare moment when we were all in the same place at once.
This is how we roll with skee ball...if you walk up the lane you can get a better score!
Even Jude was getting in on the action.
Axel and I scored with our tickets! We each picked about 4 prizes and still had tickets left over.
The sun came out again on Saturday. Mom took us all to Michael's and let us pick out our own wooden frames and 1 paint color. We hiked back down to the beach to find cool shells to glue on our frames.
We had a pretty good bucket full so we hiked back to the house to start our project. I picked green paint, Axel picked black paint, and Marie picked pink. Mom got a bottle of blue so we each had 2 colors to paint with. We picked out the shells we wanted and put them on our frames when they were dry.
They turned out pretty sweet, don't you think?
Our last day together we headed out to the bike path with our scooters and bikes. It was the nicest day of the week! Too bad we had to drive out to Axel and Marie's to drop them off.
We've got some pretty silly faces, huh?!

It was a SUPER fun, exhausting weekend. We all crashed on the drive out to the desert. Too bad Mom couldn't get Jude in the picture too.
I can't wait to have my cousins come stay again!

Really? You can't wait to have them again? I think we can arrange that. ;)
Thank you again Max for being such a great host and cousin! They loved their time with you and I love all the pictures! You and Jude need to come stay at our house soon. It will be a Par-Tay!
