My Adopted Brothers and Sisters

For two weeks this summer I knew what it was like to have 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Mom and I went to stay with Jamie, Corrie, Curran, and Luke while their parents went on a cruise with Paga. I had the most AWESOME time! We went to the beach a lot, played Break the Ice and Buckaroo, and watched morning cartoons in bed. Here are some other fun things we did:

SLIP 'N SLIDE!!! This was such a fun day. We broke out the slip 'n slide and Mom filled up 100 water balloons. It turned the back yard into a swampy marshland....but it was so much fun!

Luke is getting ready to soak someone with these balloons...or maybe pop them with his teeth.

After a while Mom set up an obstacle course we ran through and got timed. It started with hitting a soaker ball off the baseball tee.

Curran sure could blast that ball!

Then started the running. Run, Jamie, Run!

You had to run through the swampy marshland,

Around the slip 'n slide-

To the Spongebob Frisbee.

After, and only after, you got Spongebob through the cones could you move on.

You then had to grab 2 water balloons from the cooler and put them under your armpits. Without touching them with your hands you then had to go down the slip 'n slide.

If a balloon came out of your armpit, you had 5 seconds added on your time.
It was so fun but by the end we were wet and cold and the backyard was flooded!

Another day we made delicious frozen lemonade from real lemons! The other kids did most of the work and Mom blended it up in the blender.

Sticky, but DELICIOUS!

The girls went to camp for part of the second week, so it was just me and the boys. We went to the Angels game on plaid hat night!
A great time was made even better when the man sitting behind us bought us red rope and blue cotton candy!

You can tell that Luke and I really loved it! Mom was so distracted by the sticky mess that she narrowly missed getting hit by a fowl ball! Instead, the nice man who bought us all the treats got hit with it right in the chest! He wasn't too hurt, but it was a close one!

We also went on my first bowling outing! I had so much fun and haven't stopped talking about it since. The bumpers made it a little easier for me...even though I threw it down the wrong lane a couple times and slipped trying to walk down the lane:)
It was such a fun 2 weeks! I told Mom I need lots of brothers and sisters so I can have fun all the time.

AHHHHH!!!! I LOVE that I checked your blog tonight! I LOVE all these pictures....Max please tell your mom that I would like to have all of them emailed to me or on a disc. (thanks)
Max you are one of the luckiest kids I know b/c you have one of the funnest moms I know! My kids seriously have THE best Aunts EVER. I mean seriously they do.
So glad you had fun Max--we are looking forward to when we get to repay the favor to your mommy and have you stay with us....I'm thinking it might be before your baby bro or sis comes OR after baby is old enough to be left with us. We can't wait!

Wow! You are so brave! Did you take all of those kids to the game by yourself? You are such a fun mom/aunt. My kids have been so bored these last few weeks because I have been too tired and too pregnant to do anything fun. Plus, summer in Utah officially ends on Labor Day so our "fun" options get really limited. I'm jealous of all of your beach days.

That is one nice Mommy you have, Max! Looks like you had a lot of fun...just looking at your Aunt Lou's comment, are you going to be a big brother??

I don't know if I'm fun or crazy!:) The kids are so great that I really only had to worry about Max. And yes Melissa, soon Max will have to share the spotlight on his blog with a brother or sister.

Okay, I love how you took them bowling but told me the week before that you hated bowling and denied us your presence. What the what!?

I do hate bowling...but made the sacrafice as a "mom". Unfortunately Max loves it and asks nonstop when we can go.
