Snow in Cali

Ever since the rain storms started in Southern California, I've been bugging my Mom to take me to play in the snow. I was not content to have her simply point it out on the mountains...I wanted to go! She also tried to pawn it off on Dad to take me, but a couple weekends ago she lost the battle. I piled on my snow gear (or my crab fishing outfit as Dad called it) and off we went to the mountains with Romi and her family. We found a big open play area with lots of hills for sledding and NO ONE there! It was perfect.

Romi was not a big fan of the white cold stuff. I tried to show her how tasty the snow was, but she was not having it!

First order of business was sledding.

Dad and I trudged up this hill and went tandem. You can't see the look on my face but it was something between sheer terror and sheer fun.

As soon as I hit the bottom I knew I wanted to go again! Here I am taking a solo run. I couldn't get enough, it was a BLAST! I did have to share the sled with Dad and Romi's Dad. I think they were having just as much fun as I was...until Dad took a sketchy run and ended up bailing off the sled.

We didn't have the field to ourselves the whole time. A family came and built the perfect snowman. It was pretty cool...and I think my Mom was thrilled she didn't have to build one. Notice my awesome gloves, Romi's Mom let me borrow her gloves.
You're hands get pretty chilly when you insist on eating an entire football field's worth of snow!

Max,

Snow is the best! I used to hate it and now have learned to love it. But I don't love it the most....guess who does? That is right, your cousin KATE........she LOVES the cold stuff so much! I think she was supposed to have been born to an eskimo family, but something got mixed up along the way ;)

Love,
Aunt Jen
